Carlton: 7.6kW solar, power bill cut ~78%

A 7.6kW rooftop solar system — 16 high-output JA Solar panels and twin Hoymiles inverters — cutting this Carlton home's power bill by around 78%.

Carlton solar and battery installation by Solterra Electrical
St George · case study

The brief

This Carlton home had rising power bills and plenty of unshaded roof. They wanted to cut their bills as far as possible with solar alone, while keeping the option to add a battery later.

What we installed

We designed a 7.6kW system using 16 high-output 475W JA Solar panels across the roof, run by two Hoymiles hybrid inverters. The system is sized to cover the home's daytime use and export the surplus, and the inverters leave the door open to add storage down the track.
